Paige Houston works diligently to prioritize every one of our clients’ requests. Her degree in Hospitality Management is the perfect background as she enjoys connecting with people and making sure their needs are met with great execution and care. In her role as Tenant Services Coordinator, Paige serves as a team player whose goal is to provide unwavering support for her colleagues. • Shalanda Jackson

    Property Manager

Shalanda Jackson moved to NC as a young child and though she moved around a bit, she always found herself coming back here, where she has ultimately settled. Shalanda has spent two decades in real estate: 14 years were in residential real estate before she transitioned to commercial real estate and property management. The personal side of the business is what Shalanda finds most appealing: she wants to help people and build relationships.

When she isn’t tending to one of the properties she manages, Shalanda might be visiting one of her two favorite places: an aquarium or a beach. No surprise, then, that she collects turtles. Shalanda’s family is the most important thing in her life. She even started a non-profit called K.A. Cares in honor of her niece, who has Angelman Syndrome. Shalanda has a personal motto that we know makes her not only a great person, but also an effective property manager: “True kindness and love can change anything! Once you change your mindset, you can change the world.”

  • Kristin Kristinsdottir

    Tenant Services Coordinator

Kristin (pronounced like Christine) is here all the way from Iceland! She moved to NC in 2016, fought through severe homesickness, and graduated from ECU with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a business minor. She continues to work toward a Master’s Degree in Criminology. Though Kristin ultimately wants to work with at-risk youth, she’s found herself in the property management field twice, first in residential and now here with LMG in the commercial world.

Kristin is an animal lover; she has rehabbed squirrels and birds and was the adopted mom to lambs on her grandparents’ sheep farm when she was growing up. She currently has slightly more domestic pets (two dogs and a cat) but they keep her on her toes. Kristin loves the mountains and in fact grew up in a home built into the side of one.

In Iceland, earthquakes and erupting volcanoes are fairly commonplace and more annoying than anything, especially when they disrupt a good night’s sleep. It’s tough to rattle Kristin, and we know our tenants will appreciate her calm approach and resolve.

This drive to help people was forged in his youth as he worked at his family’s motel and vacation properties and later on the ocean rescue squad in Buxton, NC.

Dawson is a gym rat and would admit to being addicted to playing Billiards. A big fan of grunge music, he lists Soundgarden and Alice in Chains among his favorites. Dawson is committed to making this job not just a career, but his craft, and we are excited to see where he takes it!

Originally from Connecticut before moving to Haw River, Esther, the penultimate of seven children, was homeschooled until she attended Alamance Community College where she earned an associate’s degree in animal care and management. An animal lover in general with the ultimate goal of working in wildlife conservation, she solidified her love of birds during her 3.5 years as a veterinary assistant at a bird hospital. Working with animals somewhat prepared Esther for property management as you really never know what might go wrong in a day and you may need to react quickly to an emergency situation. In the meantime, she’s very much enjoying learning the property management ropes. Esther prides herself on her extremely green thumb, and she’s excited to have ventured recently into orchid territory. If you’re looking for her after hours, you’re likely to find her perusing the plants at a nursery or taking her dog on long walks around her neighborhood.
