Building Engineers

  • David Oldham

    Chief Building Engineer

David carries over 25 years of extensive experience in property management and maintenance with an emphasis on HVAC systems and machine management. His mentoring skills along with a strong work ethic gives the LMG Engineering team dependable leadership. David recently retired as Captain of his local fire department after many years of service to his community. He also enjoys quality time with his family and riding his motorcycle.

  • Roman Batista

    Building Engineer

Roman, a New York native, is a recent transplant to North Carolina.  Roman has a strong trades background, having done a little bit of everything such as electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.  He is also a mechanic by training and boasts a collection of eight classic cars from the ’60s and ’70s.  When Roman isn’t tinkering under the hood, he enjoys being a new dad and playing basketball.  Roman has a long-term goal of acquiring his pilot’s license.

  • Shawn Brothers

    Building Engineer

Shawn has lived on the East Coast his whole life, having been born and raised in upstate NY then living in Pensacola, FL, for over 20 years before settling somewhat in the middle in NC in 2020.  His knowledge base runs the gamut: Shawn has an accounting degree along with a Triple Master IICRC certification from when he worked in the restoration industry, and he served as a T-56 turboprop engine mechanic for six years while in the USAF Reserves.

Shawn is married and a dad of two.  When he isn’t at work, you’re just as likely to find him baking as hiking or building a computer.  And if the opportunity arises, he’ll take advantage and go scuba diving.

  • Troy Brown

    Building Engineer

Troy joined the Navy in 1988 and enjoyed an eight-year career as a Third Class Boatswain Mate.  He served four years each active and inactive.  From there, he worked in retail, starting in sales and progressing to Visual Merchandising.  This eye for design came in handy during future home renovations.  In 2013, Troy and his husband moved to Atlanta where they purchased and renovated three homes, providing Troy with a wealth of construction and renovation knowledge and experience.  While there and working at Pike Nursery, Troy attained his Master Gardener certification.

Troy returned home to Sanford, where he was born and raised, in 2020, and he put his renovation experience to the test with many projects at a 70’s era brick home.  He is enjoying his new role as Lundy Building Engineer, both due to the nature of the work as well as the people, both clients and coworkers, with whom he engages.

  • Erick Crawley

    Building Engineer

Erick has called the Triangle home since 1994 when he moved down here from New Haven, Connecticut. A self-professed workaholic, Erick prides himself on his response time and positive attitude toward any project. He has his CDL and prior to his 13 years in facilities maintenance, Erick ran a dump truck business. In the rare instance he isn’t working, Erick rides his bicycle, which he says adds years to his life, and enjoys traveling to new places with his wife.

  • Jay Dickerson

    Jay Dickerson

    Building Engineer

Jay is a true NC native. He was self-employed as a cabinet maker for many years before he joined the LMG team. The company puts Jay’s construction management and carpentry skills to good use on big projects like renovating a tenant space and smaller projects such as retrofitting existing items to function better for the user. When not spending time with his family and church community, Jay can be found winding through back roads on his Harley or with his fishing pole in the water.

  • Eric Fletcher

    Building Engineer

Eric Fletcher is a rare breed: born and raised in Cary! Prior to joining the LMG team, Eric worked in the restoration industry for five years and brings with him a plethora of knowledge that will serve our properties well. He is IICRC certified in water mitigation, content restoration, and carpet cleaning. Eric would like to hone his electrical and HVAC skills and looks forward to the opportunity to do so with Lundy. He likes to learn new skills and enjoys teaching the ones he has mastered.

A self-professed hockey fanatic, Eric catches Hurricanes games every chance he gets. He grew up in a family of athletes and was an all-conference tennis player in high school. When he isn’t working or watching hockey, Eric’s usually hanging out with family or friends.

  • Juan Guerra

    Building Engineers

Juan and his family moved to New Jersey in 1972; he lived there for 30 years before love brought him to NC.  Juan most recently worked in fire and life safety, but he spent the majority of his working life as a project superintendent and considers himself a Jack of all trades and has a particular affinity for patch and paint jobs.  Juan also has an eye for the design of a room and enjoys the more decorative aspects involved when painting a space.

Juan likes to travel and is known to go on last-minute road trips without much planning and only the simple expectation to explore.  But he’s no stranger to big trips either as he has been to South Africa twice.  Next up on his bucket list is Greece.

  • Chris Hanly

    Building Engineer

Originally from New York where he worked in television as a cameraman, editor, and sometimes director, Chris's work has taken him as far south as the Gulf of Mexico, where he worked in the oil fields. He honed his maintenance background up north before moving to North Carolina and running his own small contracting business for 15 years prior to joining LMG. Chris is a foodie who is still looking for the best steak in NC. In the meantime, he enjoys cooking, fishing, and, ever the Harley fan, riding motorcycles.

  • David Holliday

    Senior Building Engineer

David Holliday is the original Lundy Engineer. He is sought out as a mentor to his fellow team members and vendors whenever advice and expertise is needed. You may run into David as he travels to the properties on a regular basis to do walk-throughs and check in with the tenants about their property management needs. He can also be found overseeing major repairs like replacing HVAC rooftop units and working closely with facility directors to ensure that everything runs smoothly. When he isn't working, David enjoys spending time with his wife, visiting the beach, and being with friends.

  • Cliff Hope

    Building Engineer

Cliff is a New York City native who moved to NC in 2013.  Prior to moving south, he enjoyed a 10-year Army career and is a highly decorated veteran.  Cliff brings with him an extensive HVAC background.

Married with three children, Cliff and his family enjoy cooking together at home as well as eating in good restaurants.  He counts photography and travel among his hobbies but he and his family are also content to spend time together in the backyard.  When he’s not working or seeing the world, he is heavily involved in his church.

  • Ethan Johnson

    Building Engineer

One of our newer engineers, Ethan is simultaneously working toward a degree in mechanical engineering. Growing up in Cary, he displayed an early knowledge of all things mechanical. Ethan considers himself a problem solver, a trait that LMG is happy to utilize. He also prides himself on his professionalism and positive attitude. Ethan is an outdoorsman with a passion for cars.

  • Daryl Mitchell

    Building Engineer

Daryl came to Lundy from a facilities management position with a parks and rec department. Prior to that, he worked with Time Warner Cable and Apex Cabinets. Daryl completed a course in Telephony, which sets him up well to perform minor electrical and cabling work. He is often found with a paintbrush in hand, wrapping up repair projects or refreshing tenant spaces. Daryl is married with four children and spends his time with family, fishing, enjoying various sports, and being involved with church.

  • Isaac Newton

    Building Engineer

Isaac is a graduate of Vance Granville Community College and has a variety of past work experiences that serve him well in his current role. He previously worked for the Town of Wake Forest in their Public Works department as well as for a small contractor doing residential renovations. Isaac has his CDL and used it while driving a dump truck and making deliveries for a landscaping company. He is involved with his church, plays the guitar, and enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and boating.

  • Kendal Peele

    Building Engineer

Kendal has been been in property maintenance for over five years. Prior to becoming part of our team, Kendal was in road construction. He worked as a supervisor specializing in GPS, maintaining the equipment to ensure the large machines worked off their exact coordinates in order to meet very precise measurements. Kendal and his wife are involved with their church and try to make regular mission trips to Haiti to spend time with children there and provide them with school supplies.

  • Ryan Prather

    Building Engineer

Ryan is from Georgia but has called North Carolina home for the past 20 years.  He most recently worked in disaster restoration and in the last three years he oversaw more than $10M in restoration, directly managing another $3.4M in construction.

Ryan was a teaching fellow at WCU where he studied music, including choral education and jazz performance on a piano and guitar.  He lives with his wife, three kids, two dogs, and nine hens in a 117-year-old historic house that they are restoring.  No small feat considering it was built as a teachers’ dormitory and was once also a dinosaur museum.

Ryan is not only a musician; he is also a licensed massage therapist and a history buff who loves to learn.  He “can’t sit still” and “is always doing something” and the Lundy team is lucky to have him putting those skills to good use for our tenants.

  • Randy Quick

    Building Engineer

While formally trained in the plumbing and electric trades, Randy also studied architecture and civil engineering in college before joining the Armed Forces where he worked in both military intelligence and special operations. Before LMG, Randy ran his own cabinet sales and installation company for 20 years and, due to his exemplary background, gained the clearance to work on extensive casework projects for the military at their bases and veterans hospitals. Randy, a native of Lee County, excels at shooting sports and dabbles in RC airplanes and helicopters.

  • Jason Sanders

    Building Engineer

Jason has a strong general maintenance background. He is a certified Maintenance Technologist who worked in industrial maintenance for a number of years, including working for OWASA just prior to being hired at LMG. Jason was a boat mechanic for 15 years and also holds a Master Certification in that field. He grew up and still lives in Chatham County where you might find him competing in tractor pull competitions. Otherwise, he's an outdoorsman who likes to go boating, fishing, and camping.

  • Micah Shutt

    Building Engineer

Micah joins LMG by way of the restoration business and also brings with him a strong background in the propane service. He has multiple IICRC certifications, which will serve him well in his duties as a Building Engineer on the LMG team. He is always looking for ways to expand his skills, either through reading or being hands-on in the field.

Having bounced around NC and VA, Micah ultimately landed in Pittsboro. He likes to read and his interests are varied: autobiographies, fantasy, and Stephen King novels. As a poet and songwriter, he uses all those genres to teach and inspire him. Micah is a musician who can play a little piano and just about any stringed instrument, though the guitar and banjo are favorites.

  • Caleb Stanley

    Building Engineer

As a certified locksmith, Caleb’s skills are often called upon by our tenants. He was previously a maintenance technician at a local college and he also has basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry experience. While he enjoys sports, playing both basketball and soccer in school, when he has free time he is often with his family or out fishing with friends.
